This is it, the final track on the record. It was an absolute mammoth journey for me to get to the point where everything was completed, but there was no better way for the record to end in my opinion. This song is in reference to how the title for this record came to be. I was coerced into coming out of my silence by a dear friend of mine who wanted to have a full conversation with no judgment and figure out what was going on with me.

As we spoke and figured things out, he relayed to me a concept that from what I recall was centered around a Buddhist ideology that enforced the notion that, if we were to envision ourselves as a river, most people would think that they are the water in the river dodging all of the various things within it, but the reality is that without those things, it would not be the river that it is. So as the lyrics say, we are the water, we are the rocks, we are the scars, We Are The River.
