Disc 1 - Moon

For the first half of this double album, disc 1, entitled Moon, chronicles the mental agony and suffering I went through following the closure of the college I was attending at the start of 2018, down to my darkest moments in time when I was on the verge of breaking. We start with Reveries of the dark.

This is the first song I wrote as a follow-up to Sirens (excluding the post-college-closure track, Persistence) in 2018. My mental state between Sirens and this track had significantly degraded, and my level of hopelessness was nearing its worst. The lyrics certainly reflect as much, and I still have a hard time listening to this one for that reason. Musically however, it really shines as to the intensity I was feeling at the time, and I'm still really proud of this track overall. For its historical value within my own story, no other track felt right to open the album with.
